Dr. Burt Stevens, PT: Clinical Director

Dr. Burt Stevens Special Credentials: Dr. Stevens is a Board Certified Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) as well as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). He has over 13 years clinical experience in orthopedic, sport, and occupational injury rehabilitation.

Education: Nova Southeastern University (Doctor of Physical Therapy), University of Florida (B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science).

Hobbies: Sports, University of Florida athletics, spending time with family (wife and 2 daughters), skiing, outdoor recreation.

What I like Most: I like working with people and helping them when the chips are down or when they are not feeling their best. I feel I can make a small difference in their life and help them resume the activities that are important to them.

Brian Stevens: Administrative Director

Education: Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida and MBA in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from South University.

Hobbies: Spending time with my family (playing with two sons and daughter), sports, fishing, exercising, and most outdoor activities.

What I like Most: I love getting to know people. I believe honesty and integrity are essential in our business. These values and my faith always guide me to do what I believe is best for everyone. I like sharing my personal experiences and stories about my family and kids. I want our patients and co-workers to enjoy everything there is about myself and SOAR Physical Therapy. I truly love my job, my family, and my life. I hope to make a positive impact on all of those around me.

Amanda Clark

Amanda Clark joined SOAR Physical Therapy in August 2010. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Health Science. She completed an internship in a medically based fitness center and loves working with people. She plans on entering Physical Therapy Assistant School in the Fall of 2012. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends. She loves college football (Go DAWGS), exercising, outdoor activities, reading, and traveling to new places. She loves "getting to know the patients at SOAR and creating a positive and motivational environment for our patients." She loves seeing patients celebrate their success and making a difference in peoples' lives.

Lauren Vlasak

Lauren Vlasak joined SOAR Physical Therapy in August of 2011. She has a Bachelors of Exercise Science from North Georgia College & State University. She is also a certified personal trainer. After spending time at St. Joseph's Hospital, she developed a deep interest in physical therapy and improving the health & wellness of others through positive motivation. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends. She loves all outdoor activities including hiking, mountain biking, and rock climbing. She loves improving the quality of life in other people and helping them achieve their goals. She takes joy in creating a comfortable environment by helping patients reach their full potential after their injury.

Amanda Hart

Amanda Hart joined SOAR Physical Therapy in August 2011. She has lived in Canton for 14 years and enjoys spending time with her 6-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter. She completed her Associates degree in 1993 and is a Registered Medical Assistant. She enjoys traveling and being outdoors. She loves Georgia football, meeting new people, and making others laugh.

Julie Thom interned at SOAR Physical Therapy in August 2009. She was hired in May of 2010 and now attends Kennesaw State University. She has two sisters and loves spending time outside. She too loves the Bulldogs...
